The Escravos-Lagos Pipeline System (ELPS) gathers gas from Escravos (20/24 inch, ELPS A), Utorogu (30″ ELPS B) and other gas plants in the Niger delta and delivers it through a 36-inch (ELPS) line to Itoki. An additional 36-inch loop line was also constructed to increase gas volume delivery capacity. This alone will not meet the forecast future demand. Two compressors’ stations are now proposed to boost the capacity of the ELPS.
